Kerala Tourism Development Corporation takes the leading role to ensure that tourists from abroad get the best service wherever they go by setting standards for comfort as well as safety. KTDC properties, as mentioned above, are spread all over the state of Kerala. I had the opportunity to stay at almost all of them over the years and have shared my experiences: Tea County in Munnar , Lake Palace in Thekkady , Waterscapes in Kumarakam ,Samudra Kovalam , Chaithram and Muscat in Trivandrum etc among others. During the COVID Pandemic period the number of visitors from overseas were significantly reduced .
However KTDC properties have been going through innovative and naturally qualitative developments. Recently I spent almost a week at the newly renovated and relaunched KTDC Grand Chaithram
To my pleasant surprise I found the service and comforts far better without deviating from its objective of Providing a budget hotel for travellers within the heart of the city and close to the main Railway Station. I found the staff and management caring , friendly and very committed.
